Chase the Thumping Big Reds of the Spencer Gulf, Yorke Peninsula, South Australia: Mad Keen Fishing Charters is an award winning locally owned company and operate three boats out of Wallaroo and Port Broughton. Our Skippers are professional and local fishermen with unsurpassed knowledge in fishing these pristine waters. They are well respected in the fishing industry and are eager to share their knowledge with you and are willing to offer coaching so that you have every opportunity to maximize your fishing adventure.

We have opened a shop in the main street of Wallaroo to operate from. Come in and check out the “wall of fame” you could be there too. We operate with a minimum of 5 people to a maximum of 34 people allowing groups of fishermen and women or individuals (tourists to the Yorke Peninsula) wanting to join with others to try their hand at landing the Big Red Snapper or the King George Whiting that this area is famous for.

A couple of weeks ago I went on your fishing boat on 3 days. I wanted to thank the firm and especially Mark and Wal for 3 days of great fishing and great hospitality. The two of them certainly looked after us. Some of the best fishing I have done for some time. Thanks again, Allan Holman

Recentely myself,my fourteen year old son,five freinds and five other passengers boarded the 50 ft Storm Eagle and departed at 6.30 am from Wallaroo marina. The weather was perfect as we ventured several kilometers west towards Arno Bay.The skipper and three deck hands were extremly professional and the boat was roomy and comfortable.They were helpful and worked very hard for us to make sure we caught plenty of fish and our hooks were always baited. Lunch was great and soft drinks and water was redily available.We caught our quota of snapper and eagerly posed for photos at the end of the day.In summary the feeling was unanimous that we all had a great day and look foward to the next trip with Mad Keen Fishing Charters. What do you give a man who has everything, for his 75th birthday? A trip on Storm Eagle! It was the best present he could have hoped for, the weather was perfect, the fishing was terrific and the crew on the boat were very helpful and attentive. My father, my son and myself had a marvellous day and have not stopped talking about it. I would just like to thank you and your crew for the great day I had on the boat on the 20th March 2010. We all were lucky that we caught a lot of fish but it is also important that we enjoy our day as well - the captain and crew made our day just that. I am sure all that went that day feel the same. We had a great day out. You couldn't get 3 more great blokes like the 3 you have. There was no cavalier attitude or smart remarks. A very enjoyable day and very professionally done, even though I didn,t catch one. Tell Ray we ate some on the barbie, but after feeding us all day we had more for Sunday lunch and the fins were great. Regards Mike and Derek
